‘但中’之对称。天台宗作空、假、中三谛之说，以双遮双照为中道之实义，其中，观即空、即假、即中，即三观圆融，于空假二边即谈中道，称为不但中。为圆教所诠之中道义理。观此不但中之理，称为不但中观。［法华玄义卷二之下、维摩经文疏卷二十一］（参阅‘但中’2771）
