禅林用语。门户为出入建筑物必经之途，故以世间常识衡量之，无有出入宅舍而不假门户者。禅宗特别强调任运自如、了无挂碍之精神，故以‘出无门入无户’一词，一则表达自由自在之境地，再则打破‘非藉门户无从出入’之常识执着。
