耆旧

又作长老、老宿、耆宿。即年老德高，道行深湛之老者。集异门足论卷四，谓有生年之尊长耆旧，称为生年上座。毗尼母经则谓法腊过五十以上，且为国王、长者、出家人所尊重者称为耆旧长宿。又敕修百丈清规大众章日用规范条（大四八·一一四五下）：‘古云：“衩袒登溷，草履游山，莫践法堂，回互耆旧。”’［敕修百丈清规住持章迁化祭次条、禅林象器笺称呼门］
