又作赤旛。有两种：(一)指赤色之旗。在古代印度，佛弟子与外道论议后，胜利之一方往往高举赤色旗幡，并奏凯歌。碧岩录第十三则（大四八·一五四上）：‘西天论议，胜者手执赤旛，负堕者返披袈裟，从偏门出入。’(二)于日本，施饿鬼会之际，在赤纸上书写‘焦面大鬼王’并悬挂之。
