如来说法有显彰、隐密二意。‘显彰隐密’为日本净土真宗用以解释观无量寿经所设判目之一。显彰，为语言文字分明显示者；隐密，为说者之本意密隐于文内者。显说为方便，密意为真实。此与以了义教为真实，以不了义教为方便者不同。［演密钞卷二、教行证文类卷六本］
