谓以珍宝所造之佛像。法华经方便品（大九·九上）：‘若人于塔庙、宝像及画像，以华香幡盖，敬心而供养；（中略）或以欢喜心，歌呗颂佛德，乃至一小音，皆已成佛道。’

　又敬称佛像之庄严威仪，即称宝相。如邢邵所作‘文襄金像铭’谓：‘神仪内莹，宝相外宣。’
